Mt. Kenya

This last weekend a friend of mine from Sudan and I went and hiked Mt. Kenya. We had a great time, hiking over 30 miles in just a few days all the way up to 16,000ft. We left at 3am to make the summit by sunrise. It was amazing to be up on top as the sun came over the horizon.

It might not be climbing a mountain, but hey, get out there and do something interesting, even a little crazy.

Very beautiful. What a great experience! I'll just live vicariously since doing something a little crazy would probably be like taking my kids to Wal-Mart during nap time or something equally thrilling.

Phil, that's a starkly beautiful mountain. Thanks for sharing pictures.

Love it! Great pictures - what an awesome view! Hey, do you ever get songs stuck in your head when you are hiking? I know, random question, but I thought I would ask - I have a tendency to either get worship songs or 80's songs stuck in my head. Hmmm... :)

Amazing photos. I remember hiking up that mountain just outside Khulm. Hurt a little(!) but the view and just feeling like you were on top of Khulm was such an incredible feeling! And seeing God's creation below topped it off! Glad you are having some time to enjoy where you are living. Take care.
